This squat tomato has a light sandblast finish with a wonderful brown contrast stain. The rim of the bowl and the end of the shank remain smooth, showing off birdseye and straight grain, respectively. The army-mount stem is made from black ebonite and has a stabilized Amboyna Burl flare that provides a touch of color while echoing the visual texture present on the stummel. The mortise is reinforced with an inset brass ring for durability.
